Commercial Banking - Corporate Banking Client Coverage Hang Seng's Commercial Banking business provides customized one-stop financial solutions to our corporate customers, from prime small and medium-sized businesses to publicly listed companies. For customers conducting business locally or around the world, we offer a comprehensive range of services including corporate lending, trade and receivables finance, structured loan, cash management, investment, treasury services, insurance and e-Banking services. As a reliable financial partner, we attend to the specific business needs of our customers and provide efficient tailor-made banking solutions through our relationship managers and dedicated specialists.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Syndicated Finance and Corporate Advisory Manager (Team Head), reporting to Head of Syndicated Finance and Corporate Advisory.

Principal responsibilities

• Reporting to the Head of Syndicated Finance & Corporate Advisory Department as Team Head of the department for increasing number of syndication transaction and volume, planning of business strategies and sales reporting

• Working independently and ensure transactions can be executed smoothly and timely

• Origination and structuring of syndicated finance transactions as senior product specialist, focusing on Greater China market industry

• Leading deal execution while managing communication and workflows across both internal and external stakeholders

• Preparation of pitch materials and presentations and coordinating with team members within the department

• Participating in drafting, review and negotiation of transaction related legal documentation

• Supervising, developing and upskilling junior members in the department

• Supporting in providing underwriting / market risk assessment & monitoring of primary syndicated finance transactions, local and cross-border transaction, including preparing syndication statements

• Managing internal approval and credit risk processes for syndicated transaction

• Keeping track of trends and developments of syndicated loan, DCM and ECM markets

• Maintaining and building up network within the syndicated loan and capital markets

Requirements

• University degree in Business Administration, Finance or related disciplines

• Solid experience in syndicated finance and or structured finance market

• Good people management skill with leadership capabilities

• Proven track record in loans syndication field with high level market contacts, and familiar with the Greater China market landscape

• Ability to deliver strategic initiatives to stay ahead of the competition

• Ability to work with multi-stakeholders, influence and operate effectively in a highly matrix environment

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English, Cantonese and Putonghua

• High level of customer centricity mindset with dedication to deliver exceptional quality services for customers

• Professional qualifications such as Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) and/or Certified Banker (CB) under Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) would be an advantage. CMB
